Pet Policy
At Ambiente® Sedona, we understand that pets are cherished members of your family, and we welcome them to our nature escape with open arms. Our pet-friendly hotel strives to create a warm and accommodating environment for both you and your furry companions. Please be advised that a $250 charge will be added to your account for deep cleaning upon departure. Due to allergy concerns we are currently unable to accommodate cats.
Minimum Age
Ambiente® Sedona caters to an adult clientele and welcomes guests 18 years of age and older.
Cancellation or
Modifications to a Reservation Policy
A fifty percent (50%) of room and tax deposit will be taken at the time of booking. The remaining 50% deposit is due 14 days prior to arrival. Should a guest need to cancel or modify their reservation, notification must be made at least 14 days in advance of arrival date. Cancellations or changes made inside of 14 days of arrival will result in the forfeiture of the stay total. No-shows will result in the forfeiture of stay total.
Photography and Drones
At Ambiente®
We understand that you are here to enjoy a memorable stay and want to capture the experience in our stunning landscape. We please ask that for the privacy of all of property guests that photography is limited to times when other guests are not included in your pictures. The resort does not permit taking photos in the public spaces that invades other guest’s privacy. Drones are strictly prohibited at Ambiente Sedona unless prior written approval is obtained from the Executive Office and, even then, the same policy for guest privacy is in effect.

Ambiente® Sedona is a non-smoking property.
Rates & Taxes
Rates are in U.S. dollars and subject to a nightly 13.9% tax (5.6% Arizona sales tax, 1.3% Coconino County sales tax, 3.5% Sedona Tax and 3.5% Sedona Bed Tax). Ambiente™ Sedona DOES NOT charge a resort fee.
Number of Guests per Atrium
Atrium occupancy is based on two adults. Ambiente® Sedona does not offer rollaway beds, cots or cribs.

Complimentary valet parking is included with your stay.

Ambiente® Sedona is located 115 miles north of Phoenix and 29 miles south of Flagstaff, Arizona. The closest airport is Sedona Airport (KSEZ) which is two miles away. Flagstaff Airport (FLG) is the closest small commercial airport to Sedona which is 25 miles or a scenic 40 minute drive. Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is the closest major international airport (PHX – approximately 2 hours away by car).

Is the restaurant open to the
public and do I need a reservation?
Yes, Forty1 does accept very limited lunch and dinner reservations for patrons not staying at the property. Please note that breakfast is reserved for hotel guests only. Reservations are strongly recommended for lunch and dinner.
Is the Spa open to the public?
We invite both Ambiente and off-property guests to enjoy the experiences available at Velvet Spa.
Does Ambiente™ Sedona
have ADA accessible rooms?
Yes, Ambiente® Sedona has two Creekside Atriums that are fully accessible and feature an additional ground level patio.

Is Ambiente™ Sedona adults-only?
Yes. Ambiente welcomes guests 18 and older. It is the only adults-only landscape hotel in Sedona, with 40 freestanding Atrium suites, no children’s programming, and no family-resort pool scene, designed for couples, honeymooners, and quiet getaways
When is the best time to visit Sedona?
October through May offers the mildest weather, with daytime temperatures from the 60s to low 80s. Spring (March–April) and fall (October–November) are the most popular windows to visit Sedona. Summer brings 90–100°F heat, and midweek visits in spring and fall are quietest.
How far is Ambiente from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport?
Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX), the closest major international airport, is about 119 miles and a two-hour drive south. Sedona Airport (KSEZ) is two miles away for private aircraft, and Flagstaff (FLG) is a scenic 40-minute drive. Complimentary valet parking is included with your stay.
Is Ambiente good for a honeymoon or anniversary?
Yes. As an adults-only landscape hotel with private freestanding Atrium suites, private rooftop stargazing, and on-site dining at Forty1, Ambiente is built for romantic stays. Couples and maternity packages are available, and Velvet Spa offers couples treatments.
Can I book spa and dining for a couples getaway?
Yes. Velvet Spa offers couples treatments, massages, body wraps, and sound journeys, and is open to both hotel and off-property guests. Forty1 serves breakfast (hotel guests only), lunch, and dinner on-site, so there is no need to drive for meals.
What should I pack or wear for Sedona?
Layers. High-desert days are warm and evenings cool, even in summer. Bring sturdy shoes for red rock trails, sun protection, and a refillable water bottle. Forty1 is resort-casual, with no formal dress code.
Does Ambiente charge a resort fee?
No. Ambiente Sedona does not charge a resort fee. Complimentary valet parking is included, and nightly rates are subject to a 13.9% tax.
